Towanda Mullins: The MotivatorTowanda is a passionate and fully committed leader who knows her purpose in life and doesn’t mind sharing it. Her life mission she states ‘my purpose is to help our youth defy the odds against them in any capacity’. She believes that is what she was placed on earth to do; for the short while that we are here. She strives to pull out the ‘infinite possibilities’ with our youth; adults seeking to re-enter the work environment and steer them into independence. She is compelled to do all she can to ‘grow & nurture future leaders’. She stays plugged into the networks, youth programs, youth development, hands on mentoring and social circles to assist with her life’s passion our youth. Towanda grew up in Akron, Ohio and was a part of the youth at work programs which allowed underprivileged youth to earn income during the summer months to offset tough economic strains. Towanda founded and developed the ‘Ready to Work Services’ (R2W) a Program that has trained and assisted many youth & adults to enter the workplace and encouragement them start their own businesses. Her goal with the Ready to Work Services Job Training is to bring the program into communities across the country. R2W training opportunities grants relief of financial strains within households as many are awarded positions abroad. The Ready To Work Services ‘Certificate of Completion’ awards complement the resumes as employers recognize the ‘graduates’ as trained individuals that will complement their organizations. Past volunteers include the following professions: Akron City Hospital surgeon, Business owners within Summit County & Cuyahoga County, Vice President of Chase Bank, Ministers, Pastors, Akron City Hospital (Community Advocate), Akron Public Schools Project Grad counselor and Summit County employers to name a few. These volunteers have over 150+ years in the career fields of expertise.

Ready To Work Services (Akron, Ohio location) Co-Director: Responsible for managing program affairs and activities for job training program which includes blended learning approach of mentoring, classroom and training for youth ages 14-18. Establish relationships with outside agencies and community groups to enhance program components, staffing and program structure. Assists in teaching students’ job readiness skills and provides support in the job search process.
